Invisalign® Clear Aligners in San Diego, CA

Invisalign straightens teeth using a series of clear, removable aligners instead of metal braces. You wear each set about two weeks, and total treatment averages 9–15 months depending on your case.

Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth without braces. Instead of brackets and wires, you wear a series of clear, removable aligners custom-made from 3-D digital imaging of your mouth. Most people won't even notice you're wearing them — and you can take them out to eat, brush, and floss normally.

Dr. Kheradmand plans your aligner sequence personally and monitors your progress at short check-in visits at our San Diego office. Many patients pair Invisalign with teeth whitening at the end of treatment for a complete smile refresh, and straighter teeth are also easier to keep clean — a real win for long-term gum and tooth health.

Benefits of Invisalign® Clear Aligners

  • Nearly invisible — no metal wires or brackets
  • Removable for eating, brushing, and special occasions
  • Average treatment time of 9–15 months
  • Digital 3-D planning lets you preview how your teeth will move

What to Expect

  1. Candidacy consultation

We examine your teeth and bite, discuss your goals, and confirm Invisalign is the right approach for your case.

  2. Digital scan & treatment plan

A 3-D model of your teeth is used to map the exact movements — you can see a preview of your projected result before starting.

  3. Wear your aligners

Wear each set about two weeks (20–22 hours a day), switching to the next set as your teeth gradually move.

  4. Progress checks & retention

Brief visits every ~6 weeks keep treatment on track. When finished, a retainer keeps your new smile in place.

How does Invisalign work?

  • A series of clear, removable aligners is custom-made for your teeth using Dr. Kheradmand's treatment plan combined with 3-D computer imaging.
  • You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss.
  • As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth move little by little, week by week, toward their prescribed final position.
  • You'll visit our office about once every six weeks so we can confirm treatment is progressing as planned.
  • Most patients wear between 18 and 30 aligners over the course of treatment, though this varies case by case.

You can learn more about the system itself at invisalign.com, then contact us to find out whether you're a candidate.

Cost & Financing

Invisalign cost depends on how many aligners your case needs. Some dental plans include an orthodontic benefit that applies to Invisalign — our front office will check your coverage and explain payment options before you commit to anything.

Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made in advance — we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. See our financial policy for details.

Invisalign® Clear Aligners: Frequently Asked Questions

How long does Invisalign take?
Total treatment time averages 9–15 months for most adults, with between 18 and 30 sets of aligners. Simple cases can be faster; complex bites can take longer.
Does Invisalign hurt?
You may feel gentle pressure for a day or two when you start each new aligner — that means it’s working. Most people find it far more comfortable than traditional braces, with no wires to poke or tighten.
Can I eat and drink with Invisalign?
You remove the aligners to eat and drink anything other than water, then brush before putting them back in. That means no food restrictions at all — a major advantage over braces.
How many hours a day do I need to wear the aligners?
Plan on 20–22 hours per day. The aligners only move teeth while they’re in your mouth, so consistent wear is the single biggest factor in staying on schedule.
